About WasteEng Conference Series

The depletion of natural resources, the economical stress on streams and raw material, the ever increase of green house emissions and the awareness of the citizen for sustainable development are factors that promote the transformation and safe reuse of waste, residues and biomass to valuable materials and energy/fuel the so called VALORISATION. Practices that reduce emissions and integrate life cycle assessment of technologies and end of pipe products are also particularly concerned. This approach is raising a strong interest worldwide and represents a key issue to achieve a sustainable development.

This interdisciplinary conference series bridges various fields of engineering science including Environmental, Chemical, Civil Engineering, and Management science. The conference series is also of interest to non-academic groups such as industry, local and national government interested in the beneficial use and reuse of residues, biomass and waste. Each issue of the conference gather research articles, reviews and case studies (both pilot-plant and full-scale). A strong participation of industry has been noticed during the previous issues of the conference series (2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018, 2020 and 2022 editions).

WasteEng2024 event will take place on August 20-23, 2024 in Sendai (Japan). Keep on the loop and join us in Sendai next year.
